The X-Treme X-Men
The team of Storm was still
in her tasked to unfold the remaining pages of Destiny's journals. They found out that the journal was a trap. There they
meet another entity villain named as Khan. The entity kidnapped the Gambit and Rogue. They fought for him to rescue the fellow X-men. In that
battle Bishop was badly injured and he almost killed Sage for that rescue. In an unexpected event they got a hand by a sibling
not knowing that they were mutants. Heather Cameron tried to sacrifice her life to cover
Sage but with that moment she was able to transform like organic-solid gold like skin.
And his brother later knew that he can be a latent liquid figure out from himself, his name is Davis
Cameron. Later the siblings temporarily joined the team but after a short while they have decided to leave their affiliation
as X-men.
Slipstream (Davis Cameron), an Australian who can generates a "warp-wave", a funnel of trans-spatial
energy that swallows up him and any passengers to transport them over vast distances, sensitivity to displacement energy signatures
enables him to track other teleportation effects back to their origin from residual energies, hover board
Lifeguard (Heather Cameron), an Australian capable of bio-morphing adaptability enables
her to assume any characteristics necessary to save her life or that of others nearby, including metallic armor, gills, additional
arms, and wings
Thunderbird III (Shaara) is an Indian pyrokinetic, who can create large plasma blasts. During his time with the X-Treme X-Men, he struggled
with the same difficulty the X-Men's Havok did years before - his fear of killing or hurting someone with his incredibly powerful
plasma. For a time he was seen working with Lucas Bishop, another mutant with energy-related powers, in an attempt
to overcome his fears and gain greater control over his powers. During this time, it was revealed that his plasma, however
powerful, could not burn through adamantium, a testament to the metal's already impressive durability. He had a brief relationship
with Betsy Braddock, which ended when she was slain by the swordsman Vargas. Thunderbird left the X-Men in connection
with Psylockes’ death, along with Lifeguard and Slipstream and has been seen sporadically since.

The
team gets to Valencia, Spain, where they all get attacked the local guardia forces. Rogue is shot into the sea,
while Storm, Bishop, Beast, Psylocke and Thunderbird are caught; only Sage manages to escape.
The
five captured X-Men deal with everything that the Civil Guardia throws at them in their examining Maze, but they get separated. Rogue, is then attacked by Vargas, who defeats her. Beast and Psylocke
come to the scene, and again Vargas easily beats Hank, breaking many of his bones.

Only
Psylocke is left standing. In the following battle Vargas kills her by running his sword though her gut. Vargas claims that
she was only the first and leaves to let the rest of the team find their beaten comrades.
Following
their battle with Vargas, Psylocke is really dead and Beast mortally wounded. by Vargas who is neither mutant, nor
superbeing, yet something more than human. To save the Beast from dying Tessa uses a never before seen power. She can perceive
mutants' full potential and temporarily bring it forth. It strains her a lot, but she boost Hank McCoy’s healing factor
so that he is able to survive his injuries. Storm also sends the Beast back top Westchester as he is too weak and would
only be a liability.
Rogue finds Gambit in a restaurant.
Julius Gow, the restaurant’s owner, has his thugs attack the two of them and their powers are negated during the fight,
so they seek shelter. When someone kills Gow and frames Gambit, Gow’s grandson the Red
Lotus mistakes Rogue and Gambit for murderers. He defeats them both, leaving them in dire straits.
Rogue and Gambit are captured and tortured by the Examiner while Red Lotus watches.

They
manage to free themselves and leave to inform their teammates about their adventure, taking the unconscious Red Lotus
with them. Storm and Thunderbird locate Viceroy’s children, the Cameron siblings, but evil forces are close behind.
Criminal gangs want to seek and destroy the Camerons and eliminate any heirs to Viceroy’s empire. Sage becomes a target
as well when her old allies from the Hellfire Club reenter her life with a vengeance.

Storm
and Thunderbird save the Camerons’ lives by defeating assassins and Heather Cameron reveals herself as Lifeguard, a mutant with mysterious power. The Camerons learn the truth about Viceroy and their blood ties
to the local criminal underworld. They decide to help the X-Men put an end to the death and destruction.
Sebastian Shaw and Lady Mastermind imprison Sage within an impressive illusion, intending to brainwash her back into the
Hellfire Club. Red Lotus fights Sebastian Shaw to a standstill in a valiant effort to rescue Sage, but it
may take a miracle to save Sage’s mind, as she trapped in Lady Mastermind’s illusionary world. In
the X-Men’s apartment, Storm is visited by an astral image of Jean Grey. Jean
warns Storm of Cassandra Nova and that she might have infected the teams at the school
with some strange illness, so they should consider the mansion quarantined. In the next room the catatonic Sage is still trapped
in Lady Mastermind’s illusion. Sage suddenly reaches out to Heather, whose Lifeguard powers activate as she is
pulled into the illusion as well. Lifeguard manifests new abilities for every new threat that Mastermind throws at her,
but her power is limited to only reacting and she can’t hope to defeat her foe. Finally Sage and Heather
return to the real world, where Tessa apologizes for taking over Heather’s body and risking her life.

Sage and Lifeguard
The
X-Men are attacked by a hulking creature called Shaitan. Gambit and Lifeguard, under
Storm's orders, attempt to escape with the ruby but are attacked by Shaitan who teleports them all away. Desperate to follow
and rescue their abducted friends, the X-Men allow Sage to use her abilities to unlock the latent powers of Davis Cameron. He manifests the ability to access a Warp Wave teleportation power, and Davis takes the team
to Madripoor, where they are greeted on Madripoor by its current ruling princess, Viper.
She leads the X-Men to a temple where Shaitan has Gambit tied to an altar surrounded by the gems of the Madripoor Collection.
The X-Men attack Shaitan, but not before he successfully activates the gems and, using Gambit's energy powers, opens a portal
from which emerges an immense red energy-laced tower. Also emerging from the portal are alien combat troops. The X-Men rescue
Lifegurad and capture the troop leader before, at the behest of the still captive Gambit, they withdraw.
Madripoor‘s
Air Force is being attacked by the invaders aircraft’s and the X-men try to help them best as they can with Rogue, Thunderbird
and Bishop shooting aircrafts out of the sky, and Lifeguard catching both human soldiers and alien invaders as prisoners alike,
though minutes later, the Viper executes the Alien Invaders that the X-Men had just captured, except for Khan, who Storm jumps
on to protect him from the bullets. Rogue disarms the Viper and the X-Men escape when an alien aircraft is spotted trying
to find their missing soldiers. Storm places Bishop in charge and wants to take Khan elsewhere, but Viper attacks Storm
from behind while the rest of the X-Men escape. Viper wants to finish her earlier execution and attacks Khan, but is defeated
by him. Khan orders Shaitan to call a medivac for Storm because he wants to save her to become his Queen...

Slipstream versus the Shaitans
Davis
Cameron sits and is saddened by his life since becoming a mutant. Thunderbird, noticing his pain, tries to comfort him. Later,
Rogue leads an attack against soldiers by using her new mutant powers. Khan carries Storm to his ship through the portal that
links his ship to Madripoor on Earth. Khan tells Shaitan that he will make Storm his Queen and calls for a Skinwalker. The
Skinwalker, a black liquid substance arrives in a canister, which Khan pours onto Storm.
Then the alien transfers itself onto Shaitan, transforming him into a Storm look alike. Khan sends Shaitan after the other
X-Men and then tells his physicians to save Storms life. Later when Storm asks Khan to stop his attack on Earth, he tells
her no that he will conquer Earth and her at the same time. Storm tells him that she will not be conquered...
After Sage jump-starts Rogue's mutant powers, Rogue and Slipstream (Davis Cameron ) use them to destroy much of Khan's army on Earth. In an apartment building,
Vargas, with his statue of Psylocke, watches Rogue fight the army and talks to himself about their need to kill Rogue. Elsewhere,
the other four X-Men sneak past Gambit and his guards and onto Khan's space station. There, Lifeguard goes through a metamorphosis
and transforms into more of an alien being. Using her own powers, Sage is able to hack into Khan's computers and find out
where Storm is being held prisoner. Despite her injuries, Storm takes out the entire Harem with hand-to-hand combat and creative
use of her diminished powers.

Sage
makes her way to a control room and she causes security breaches all over the tower At the same time, Lifeguard, Bishop, and
Thunderbird, posing as Royal Shi’Ar and consorts gain access to the Damage Control central. While all this goes
on in space, on Earth Rogue faces off against Vargas, and his servants Thaiis and Thais. Finally Vargas reveals his motives
as he shows Rogue a page of Destiny’s diary that has Rogue stabbing Vargas with his own sword. Rogue distracts him with
Cyclops’s optic blast, and Slipstream teleports in, plucks Vargas from the area and takes him above the temple that
Gambit is trapped in. Yet Slipstream’s inexperience costs him as Vargas manages to slice across his back with his sword,
almost killing him. Vargas crashes into the temple where quickly disperses the entire troop of Khan’s army, and plans
to take on Gambit, who finally releases a charged piece of rock he had been hiding in his fist. Outside Rogue saves Slipstream
from drowning in the swamps as suddenly the temple collapses, apparently killing Gambit, though saving the universe from Khan’s
invasion.
Rogue flies into the collapsing temple, looking for her lover Gambit.
Despite him still being trapped by the tight red beam and it’s forcefield, he caused the building‘s destruction,
hoping that his death would close the portal and save the world. Rogue tries to free him, but ends up trapped by the forcefield
as well, as she has absorbed Gambit’s powers in the past, which allows the beam to use her as a conduit as well.

Still disguised as Storm, Shaitan investigates
reports of a single swordsman killing many if the alien invaders – it is Vargas. Thinking Shaitan to be the X-Men’s
leader, he battles and easily defeats “her“. Vargas then approaches the defenseless couple, and rams his sword
straight through both Rogue and Gambit. Yet, the five X-Men, now on the other side of the portal back on Earth,
quickly fire all their powers toward the ship to keep the ship from fully making the trip. It is still stuck in the portal
as it implodes, apparently killing Khan and his troops. Sadly the X-Men have no time for celebration as they find the injured
Slipstream, and the lifeless forms of Rogue and Gambit.

Bishop removes the sword and him and the
X-Men tend to their friends injuries as best as they can. Bishop tries to calm Rogue down but her powers go out of control knocking him back with Cyclops’ optic blast. She
transforms next into Colossus, then the Beast, the Hulk, and finally into Wolverine. She uses his healing factor to help in
her recovery. She decides to go after Vargas, something which she claims to have to do alone, despite the other X-Men’s
protests. As she leaves so does Lifeguard to go get medical help for the other wounded X-Men.
Sage is shocked that the solution to their diary quest was right before them, as Rogue’s
imprint of Destiny should have all the knowledge they need. Elsewhere in the city, Vargas
finds his two servants and they return to base, where Rogue, posing as the Psylocke statue is waiting for them. She attacks
and knocks Vargas out of the building, but suddenly looses her extra powers fade. Left with only her basic powers and her
skills in hand to hand combat, she defeats both Thais and Thaiis,
before Vargas returns. At first Vargas and Rogue seem evenly matched, but her wounds reopen, and the swordsman gains the upper
hand. Rogue finally imprints Vargas and is now able to match him blow for blow. Suddenly she comes to the realization
that the diaries are a trap, that they leave no room for spontaneity or hope. Rogue prepares to strike Vargas with his own
blade, but it is unclear wether she kills him or not and the end of the fight is not recorded.

Elsewhere, Lifeguard
attends to her brother’s injuries and he awakes but sadly he sees her Shi’Ar appearance and refuses to believe
that this alien is his sister. Madripoor’s ruling prince, the Viper, comes with the medical supplies to help the X-Men.
Unluckily for her, Storm remembers that she nearly killed her and takes her vengeance by shooting her with one of Sage’s
guns. Luckily Viper was wearing Kevlar, which stopped the bullets fatal blow. Still, Sage threatens Viper to never harm her
friends again and with a blade to her throat, Viper is forced to agree to her demands. Rogue
returns from her encounter with Vargas, barely able to stand. The Doctors work frantically
trying to save the wounded heroes but Storm, Rogue and Gambit seem far-gone. . Phoenix informs
Rogue of her plan to save Storm, while Rogue needs to help Gambit who has now ascended into his own spiritual world. Back
with the living in the M.A.S.H. unit the Beast, Jean, Nightcrawler, and Wolverine have teleported in to help. The X-Men set
out to help their friends. Nightcrawler tries to persuade Davis Cameron that just because
Heather may look different does not make her a monster, while Wolverine and Jean calm Heather down from a near Shi’Ar
berserker rage.

Jean
enters the astral plane and heads for Storm’s spirit world, where she is surprised by the beauty of Storm’s soul.
Turns out that Ororo deliberately took the chance to meet her deceased parents in the afterlife, before she returns to her
body, after she introduced her best friend Jean to them. At the same time, Rogue heads to Gambit‘s spirit world, where
she tries to convince him not to die. Gambit thinks that it is a good day to die as he just saved the world, and he is willing
to step into the light. Yet Rogue drags Gambit’s astral form back to the land of the living.

Later, as the healthy check on the sick Heather
finds that her brother has run away and he does not want her to follow. While Wolverine informs Rogue that Gambit may never
treat her the same for taking away his chance at peace.

Rogue approaches Gambit, and she tries to comfort him over his recent revelation that he has also lost his power along with hers.
The two decide on not leaving one another, as they want to take their relationship day by day and see how it all turns out.
The next morning, as Jean and Storm finish doing the dishes since they stayed up all night talking, Kitty
says her good-byes and leaves to head back to college. The two friends are left alone in the kitchen when they are startled
by a noise outside. As they investigate, they see a motorcycle and Gambit and Rogue inform their friends that they are planning
on leaving for a while to explore their relationship further. Neal and Heather also decide to leave together to hunt down
Heather's brother and to make sure he is all right. Jean watches the four of them go and is shocked to see how their day has
begun. Jean decides that it is their time to leave and Logan offers to stay behind to help Storm
in her recuperation and they agree. As the other members leave, the three members of the X-Treme team that are left discuss
their future plans.
A
long break was in order, and the team (now joined by Cannonball ) headed to Valle
Soleada, California, where they got together again with Gambit and Rogue, who had left earlier after they had lost their powers.
The X-Men became involved in a scheme, whereby certain mutants
were trying to buy out baseline humans out of the town, and those not wanting to leave peacefully were threatened and blackmailed
into complying. One girl named Marie D'Ancanto, whose entire family had been killed in a car accident caused by mutants, even
turned herself into a potential suicide bomber, but the X-Men stopped the explosives from going off. With the help of Sunspot & Magma, the head of the X-Corp Los Angeles, the X-Men were able to clear Marie
off her charges and give her a second chance.

The X-Men stop a bombing attempt
by a young woman named Marie D'Ancanto, who lost the rest of her family to the actions of mutants. She also claims
that she was pressured to sell her house, like many other people in her neighborhood, who all had recurring nightmares until
they signed the papers. The entire area was turned into a district exclusively for mutants.
Sunspot and Empath follow news reports of Marie being put on trial; they even talk to the governor on
the phone, asking him to make her an example, as to stop similar hate crimes from happening. The same day, Marie, currently
powerless and owing a house in the area, finds herself under attack by Revenant,
the mutant responsible for the nightmares. When a lawyer offers to buy her house, Marie secretly follows him on a bike, only to see him enter the X-Corporation L.A. building.

Storm, Magma, Bishop, Cannonball, Rogue, Gambit, Sage
Later Storm's team had a new addtional to her roster,
they are Cannonball, Sunspot, and Magma.
Cannonball picks up Magma from the
airport. She says that she still is trying to sort out her life, now that she knows her true heritage. They head to the X-Corporation
building, where Magma is shocked to meet Empath, though Sunspot tells her to get over their quarrel, for they are colleagues now. Cannonball brings up the X-Men's suspicion regarding the lawyer and his connection to X-Corporation, and Sunspot promises to look into it after a fund-raising party that
night. Unfortunately, after a second attack by Revenant, Marie is tired of waiting and crashes the party.
Sunspot doesn't tolerate being humiliated in front of his guests and has two members of X-Corporation, Skitz and Stringfellow, he throw out Cannonball and Rogue. Magma wants to help them, but stops when Bobby Drake (Iceman) tells her that he believes their story and promises to investigate. After the party is
over, they use the base's computers to uncover evidence that indeed the lawyer's actions were not correct. Suddenly, though,
they start to kiss and embrace, apparently manipulated by Empath, who in return is under the spell of a the mysterious pet telepath of Bogan.
All three, Empath, Magma and Sunspot,
are in tears, but unable to break out of their torture scenario. The next day, though, they don't remember anything of it
and Sunspot announces to the press that the situation will be rectified and that the lawyer was acting without his permission.
Sage of the X-Men knows that there must have been more to it and
continues to investigate, while Sunspot and Magma meet with some of the X-Men and their friends to talk about
old times. Meanwhile, Bishop is attacked and defeated by Bogan's mystery telepath, a female hidden in shadows.
Sage reveals to her teammates that Bishop let himself be captured on purpose to
lure Bogan and his telepath into making a move. Well aware that they will brainwash
Bishop and
use him against them, the X-Men decide to split up - one team to keep Bishop and other to deal with the telepath. To exactly
pinpoint Bogan's headquarters, some catacombs beneath the X-Corporation building, Magma helps with her geothermal awareness
of the Earth.
The X-Men receive further help from X-Corporation members, Sunspot and
Skids. The group splits up and the first team (Skids and Sunspot among it)
quickly engages Bishop in a battle. At first, they seem to win, until they are knocked out by Bogan's mystery telepath. The
second squad (including Magma) meanwhile prepares to enter Bogan's headquarters. Sage, Shadowcat and Magma
combine their powers to enter Bogan's base from underground. However, inside, the other team, now all mentally controlled
by the telepath, meets them. Just when all seems lost, Gambit and Bishop overcome their brainwashing and the fighting starts anew. In the confusion, Sage slips away to the heart of Bogan's base, only to be found by Magma, now under Bogan's control.
Although Magma encases Sage in a block of molten lava, she has enough free will left not to kill her. The X-Men and
their allies reassure their trust in each other and eventually all of them shake off Bogan's influence. They even manage to
free the mystery telepath - it's none other than Rachel Summers.
Meanwhile, in Crawford, Texas,
dignitaries from around the world met at the ranch of the United States'
president to discuss their politics on the rising mutant threat. Storm talked to some old friends and allies among the guests.
Colonel Vazhin and Val Cooper made a
unique proposal of giving her team diplomatic power over mutant affairs all over the world. After a bit of thinking on the
official's part, Storm decided to illustrate the threat some mutants could pose. Storm's gamble worked and her new project
was given a green light. Her X-Men became the X-Treme Sanctions Executive (X.S.E.).
The core members of the team formerly known as the X-Treme X-Men had a variety of adventures together and formed a strong
unit as a result. Encounters with the planet conquering Khan and the misguided Revered William Stryker left
the team reeling. A break was in order, and the team headed to Valle Soleada,
California, where they got together again with Gambit
and Rogue, who had left earlier after they had lost their powers.
And the Storm's
teammates went back to Westchester, New York
and help them rebuild it after two tragic events. But Gambit and Rogue went to Valle Soleada, who wanted to stop for
being superheroes or leave a normal life and have a normal family. They were powerless at this time after fighting with the
inter-dimensional warlord Khan.
They returned home and started helping to rebuild
Xavier's school in Westchester after that riot, but they have kept their special X.S.E. status
at the same time. And Storm just learned that her best friend was killed on that event. The core of Storm's team was left
largely intact, although Gambit and Rogue were lined up with Havok's team as the X-Squad team as advised by Cyclops when the
coupled returned, to be replaced with Nightcrawler and Wolverine, as much as his busy schedule allows it. Although now based
at the mansion, the team kept their responsibilities as members of the X.S.E, with Sage
having her own "Cyberpath" room to monitor mutant situations from all over the globe, and alerting her team, when intervention
is necessary. However, the X.S.E soon learned that despite their badges and new responsibilities, they are still looked upon
with disdain by the local authorities.
With the help of Sage she
was able to restore the power of Rogue and while Gambit is also undergoing his secondary mutation, and when recharging his
cards blinded him after an explosion. Also Sage was able to help Gambit in restoring his eyesight after a few weeks. The couple
went back to Valle Soleada. And Kitty Pride leaved the group again and wanted to be a politician and wishing to end up being
a mutant.
Also Daniel Moonstar and Karma together with Northstar
became new teachers in the school. And Cannonball joined his fellow X-Force teammates in X-Corporation
Europe.
A long-overdue game of baseball
is nearing its end. The two teams are led by Storm and Cyclops, with Storm’s team fielding. Rachel Summers (Marvel
Girl II) pitches at Emma Frost and, despite Emma trying to cheat, she is struck out, falling flat on her behind. Rachel
taunts her and makes it clear that she is has issues with her. Nightcrawler and Bishop have to step in to ensure the situation
doesn’t get ugly. Sage showers and checks out the computers. She takes a look at which organization is looking at what,
whilst Cannonball chastises his brother and a fellow flying pupil who play up to television cameras. He warns the reporter
away, flashing his new X.S.E badge.
With the game over, the X-Men
go about their respective tasks. Rachel fixes one of the X-planes, Gambit has a medical check and
Bishop places flowers in the memorial Garden, thinking of Jean. Emma and Scott, meanwhile, continue their relationship behind
closed doors. After a session in the Danger Room, Sage gives the team missions.
Rachel
Summers, Storm, Cannonball and Bishop are sent to the Central Saharan Republic to deal with a group of raiders called
Weaponeers, as members of the X.S.E. They work well as a team and quickly dispatch most of their
opponents, though their craft teleports away to safety. Rachel reports back to Sage, who then calls Brian Braddock in England,
asking if they’re welcome over there. Wolverine and Nightcrawler, meanwhile, are sent to Washington, also in their role
as X.S.E agents, where local police have surrounded an alpha-level mutant inside a building. Wolverine senses something and
asks Kurt to teleport them inside. As he does so, the whole building explodes.

The Exiles Timeline
As a flashback, when the Phalanx entity known as Harvest
arrived to torment Clarice Ferguson (Blink) and her fellow captive mutants, she
employed her powers to precisely remove a chunk of deck under her friends, causing them to fall into the water below and saving
their lives. She then displaced the entire battleship on which they were being held captive, including Harvest and herself.
It is presumed Clarice died during this act. But Blink lives on.

Meanwhile, in the alternate-universe, battle-ravaged Age of Apocalypse
reality where she was then teleported, Clarice's parents and brother were known as being killed in the Horseman Abyss' death
camp. Sabretooth and Weapon X liberated Clarice after destroying the prison, and Magneto
and his X-Men took her in. Under Magneto's tutelage, the young mutant now known as Blink learned to control her powers and
expand her teleportation range. In her precious few free moments, Clarice is an artist and sketches pictures of her teammates.
After being freed, she had a new group with teammates a returning Mimic (Calvin Rankin),
Nocturne (Talia Josephine Wagner)-the daughter of Nightcrawler and Scarlet Witch who also
traveled time, Sasquatch (Heather Hudson) of the Alpha Flight, and the resurrected Thunderbird I and Morph (Kevin Spacey), they called themselves
as the Exiles. During that plane explosion, John Proudstar a.k.a. (Thunderbird I) was
abducted by Apocalypse and let the X-Men he right then died and turn into ashes. Later the met new friend name Magnus, he
joined the team but he died in a battle and he was replaced by Sunfire II. Along some
battles Sunfire II (Mariko Yashida) was killed also, she then being replaced by Namora,
a princess of Atlantis. Also Thunderbird I return to his timeline he then replaced by Wildchild.
However, they joint-team together with Weapon X for some reasons. The Weapon X is composed of She
Hulk, Deadpool, Spider and Vision of the Avengers.

Holocaust reemerges again.
The Exiles helped the X-Men in fighting this new entity who revealed himself as Nemesis
as the son of Apocalypse. With the help of Morph, Rogue who is now having a son with Magneto, Iceman, Wildchild, the young
Clarice (Blink) successfully destroyed Holocaust. But this is in the alternate
timeline.

Elias Bogan
In California,
further investigation revealed that the villain Elias Bogan had wormed his
way into X-Corporation L.A. by making use of a mysterious pet telepath. Bishop allowed
himself to be caught by Bogan's minions and they brainwashed him into joining their side. However, this was exactly as he
and Sage had planned it, and working side by side with former X-Men Shadowcat and several members of X-Corp L.A., the X-Men
managed to force Bogan to retreat and even liberated his telepathic slave, who turned out to be none other than former X-Man
Rachel Summers. Elias Bogan was the same person who worked-become an ally and an enemy of Sebastian Shaw of
the Hellfire Club. He is the same person responsible for the tear-like mark in the face of Sage.
The X-Men and the
members of X-Corp L.A. search the base for further clues on Bogan and find themselves trapped in several illusionary scenarios,
all aimed at their personal fears. Still the mutants manage to come through and drive Bogan away, even though it takes Magma to destroy the entire catacombs and the X-Corp building above.
Bishop, Cannonball and Marvel
Girl II (this time Rachel Summers used the name in honor with her mother) then traveled to England to visit Brian Braddock at Braddock Manor. Upon their arrival, they found
signs of a disturbance and headed underneath the manor, where they found a strange creature: the Fury.
It attacked them without cause and had the ability to adapt to whatever the X-Men threw at it. Cannonball
was the first to fall to its ferocious onslaught, suffering a broken leg. The team united and managed to defeat the Fury, but only just. Meeting up with Captain Britain and Meggan
after the battle was over, Rachel sensed something was strangely out of place and saw Brian Braddock's mad brother, Jamie Braddock, on more than one occasion.
In Wade River, Washington,
Wolverine and Nightcrawler teleport inside a school building, which explodes soon after. The police officers on duty feel
they are inside, killing their kids, and they rush into the school as fire fighters hose down the flames. They attack Wolverine
and also slap handcuffs on Nightcrawler, despite him having saved all the children with
a single teleport. Wolverine is blamed for killing a teenager, Tommy Reichert, but he
insists the boy was a mutant and killing was his only option. Storm and Warbird appear on the scene and Carol uses her authority
to have the two X-Men freed. Storm later joins Nightcrawler for a belated dance, whilst, over in Great Britain, Bishop, Marvel Girl and Cannonball drive to Braddock Manor. There,
they discover a hole in the entrance floor and investigate. Suddenly, they are attacked by a strange creature, the Fury. Cannonball takes point but is easily brushed aside by the creature. Marvel Girl manages to impale
it with a stalactite but is sent crashing skywards for her efforts. The strange being is incredibly powerful - it takes all
of Bishop’s energy output and simply uses it to help restore itself. Cannonball once again attempts to fight the creature
but, this time, he is caught in its strange taffy-like shell. He is pummeled to the floor and taken out of the equation. The
Fury picks up his cyber shades and intends to trace the communications signal to its source.
If the cybernetic network proves useful to its prime directive, it will assimilate it.
After the Fury attacked the X-Men at Braddock Manor, Sage is aware that something is wrong. As soon as she makes Storm
aware of this, she is attacked, remotely, by the Fury. It uses Cannonball’s cyber shades to interact with Sage’s.
Nannites are created in Sage’s shades and they dig their way into her mind, soon gaining
partial control of her. The Fury then tries the same trick with Storm, but she manages to get free of them before they sink
in too deep. Wolverine, too, experiences another such attack, but survives. They head to Sage’s carriage house, to discover
what’s going on, but Sage attacks Nightcrawler and fends off Wolverine. Storm sounds a full security alert, but the
Fury, acting through Sage, activates the mansion’s defenses, gassing all but the trio of X-Men with Sage. As laser beams
then strafe the area, Wolverine has Nightcrawler teleport them into the tunnels below the estate.
In England, Cannonball has survived the Fury’s
attack and, in saving Bishop, he thrusts the Fury into a propane tank. To his astonishment,
the Fury emerges unscathed through the flames. The three X-Men at the mansion prepare to use unusual tactics to bring Sage
down. They play against type when she appears, keeping her off balance. Helping them is Sage herself, using her indomitable
will power to defend herself against the Fury’s insidious invasion. She battles Nightcrawler,
who manages to keep her at arms length long enough for Storm to attack with an electromagnetic pulse. Sage lashes out at them,
but the pulse does the job, crippling the nannites long enough for her to rip the shades from her face in a desperate last
ditch attempt to assert her own free will. Nightcrawler, Wolverine and Storm ensure she is all right but, even though Sage
is herself again, she is already making plans for the Fury.
The Fury is still attacking
Cannonball in England,
as his fellow X-Men take off from Xavier’s in the Blackbird. En route, they pick up Rachel, who emerges from the Irish Sea, a little light headed. She discovers Jean Grey had created a holempathic crystal, which reassures
her about her purpose in life. Wolverine backs Jean up, telling Rachel she deserves this fresh start. Back in England, Bishop rejoins the battle and blasts the Fury, but
it grabs Sam before he can escape. Bishop explodes a liquid nitrogen canister above them, though Sam’s blast field protects
him. With the Fury frozen, the others arrive and Storm uses her powers to ionize the air around it, effectively rendering
its scanners useless. Sage grabs the Fury’s core processor and Storm uses the Blackbird
to fire three cluster bombs at the Fury, which tear it to pieces. Sage knows it is vulnerable, but will soon adapt. Her plan
is to have Kurt place a module inside the Fury, which Rachel can telekinetically lock onto. Wolverine and Nightcrawler manage
to place the module within the Fury and Rachel goes to work. She locks onto the module and, despite the enormous effort it
takes, creates a controlled breach of the dimensional interface, with the help of her teammates, into which the Fury is banished.
With the threat over with, for the time being, the X-Men look forward to their next challenge.

The Manor Incident
The X-Men return to Braddock
Manor, following their battle with the Fury, and find the building mysteriously intact.
Brian Braddock and his wife, Meggan, wait for them at the door. Inside, Brian explains that the manor is magic, and somehow
takes care of itself. Despite being happy to see her old friends, Rachel senses something is wrong with the whole scenario.
Once outside, she accesses a portion of her power and, in place of the pristine manor, she sees Jamie Braddock again. This
time, he is standing amidst the ruins of the building. As quickly as the image hits her, it is gone. She seems to shrug it
off and the team head to London, chauffeured by a woman with green lipstick. They change into evening dress for dinner
with the queen but, once inside their car, they are gassed by their chauffeur, Viper.
They wake up inside see-through spheres and with a large hologram of Viper standing beside them. She informs them that they
are inside Murderworld and the object of her game is to kill them; especially Sage. They must also find and rescue the queen
of England, because, if they don’t,
she will die. Rachel is the first to emerge from her sphere, but she is severely beaten up by Viper. Without their powers,
courtesy of some well-placed nannites, Viper has an advantage over the X-Men in that she knows the terrain. In their new environment,
Kurt saves Storm from being swept underwater, but knows that, in escaping this trap, there’s bound to be another one
waiting for them. Bishop and Sage emerge next to an illusion of the Tower
of London. Sage somehow breaks her sphere using her fist, which surprises
Bishop. Viper then appears and beats up Bishop before shooting Sage. Only her uniform
protects her from certain death. She then holds a gun to Sage’s head and, despite Bishop’s warning that she will
be hunted to the ends of the Earth, she pulls the trigger.
Having shot Sage in the forehead,
Viper proceeds to best Marvel Girl in physical combat, leaving Rachel and Bishop to face a squad of soldiers. Inexplicably, Sage stands up and shows her X.S.E badge to the captain,
ordering him to stand down. She then wills the bullet from her forehead and switches off her image inducer, revealing that
it is, after all, Wolverine. Bishop can’t believe he didn’t figure it out earlier. The queen, however, is still
in danger, but Wolverine knows where she is.

Meanwhile, Storm and Nightcrawler
intrude on a Purity conference and Ororo has strong words with the organizer, Alice Tremaine,
before taking her leave. Arriving at the London Eye, Alistaire Stuart informs the team,
who now have their powers back, that the hostage is in the topmost car and two bombs are keeping her there. Viper’s
voice tells the X-Men that there are two bombs. One conventional bomb will explode if they do nothing, or a baby nuke will
explode if they try to rescue her. Also, it’s not really the Queen of England. It is Ella, one of her housemaids. The
X-Men, despite Stuart’s objections, attempt a rescue and Storm creates a Jovian pressure field to crush the car, once
Nightcrawler has teleported Ella to safety. Bishop blasts the car high into the sky, where the nuke explodes, harmlessly.
Logan
tells Alistaire that it was a risk, but Ororo made the right call. Meanwhile, Viper is on a mission to eliminate Courtney
Ross. Before she kills her, however, Ross makes her an offer she can’t refuse. Later, Sebastian Shaw meets with them
both and, together, they agree to rule the Hellfire Club, leaving the world theirs for the taking.
At the Xavier Institute,
Kurt Wagner (Nightcrawler) and Rachel Grey (Marvel Girl)
complete a Danger Room training session and share a short yet passionate kiss. They are interrupted by Logan (Wolverine) and Ororo Munroe (Storm) who are headed out for a “night
on the town.” Meanwhile, on Manhattan’s lower
east side, a terrorized girl named Jade Parisi runs through the streets screaming for help. She is brutally attacked by four
young men who are promptly and violently dispatched by a clawed mutant seen only in shadow. After killing the four would-be
attackers, the silhouetted mutant stares ominously at the hysterical Jade who screams out in fear. In the Xavier institute’s
library, Tessa (Sage) shuffles through old photographs as she remembers her days in the
Hellfire Club. Her reverie is interrupted by the sound of an argument between Marie D’Ancanto and several mutant students.
Sage promptly ends this argument. Logan’s and Ororo’s night on the town is interrupted by a page from the medical
examiner in District X’s morgue. The M.E. reports that four slaughtered young men, mutant-bashers, were discovered in
District X. The slash marks on the bodies indicate claws very similar to Logan’s.
The X-Men also learn that Jade Parisi, daughter of a powerful mob boss is missing and
believed kidnapped. Later, outside a night club in District X, the X-Men interrogate an informant for information on Jade.
Logan investigates the night club and discovers a young girl
with a familiar scent. After a short scuffle, the girl pops two claws from each forearm and stabs Logan through the chest.

Battle with Ord
In the mansion
they find reports that Colossus is really alive. Colossus' story of suicide didn't end there, as they thought. An
alien named Ord had learned from precognitive visions that, a few years down the road, his home, a place
called Breakworld, would be destroyed by a mutant, most probably an X-Man. That's why he traveled to Earth
in order to stop this event before it could happen. Ord snatched Piotr Rasputin from the morgue and replaced him with someone
else's body, which was then cremated. While Shadowcat took these ashes to Russia, Ord revived Colossus with futuristic alien
technology and kept him locked up in a prison cell in his base, to run tests and experiments on him. Every few days would
Piotr be gassed, only to wake up strapped to some lab equipment.

Eventually, he lost count of the time he spent there, no longer being able to tell whether his was living through this
ordeal for weeks, months or even years. Ord, however, found what he was looking for, as he discovered a way to adapt and modify
the cure for the Legacy Virus still in Colossus' system into a formula that would erase mutant powers. Working together with
a sub-division of SHIELD and a world famous geneticist, Ord offered this cure for mutant powers to the public and a large
number of mutants were willing to undergo that treatment in exchange for the chance at a normal life. Naturally, this aroused
the X-Men's suspicions and, when they checked out Ord's base, Shadowcat accidentally found her way to the place where Colossus
was held. The rest of the team were as shocked as she, when they became aware of their believed-dead teammate. Ord's machinations
uncovered, SHIELD severed their ties to him, though the damage is done and some samples of the "mutant care" remain.
