On Genosha
With Jean dead, Xavier left
the school to Cyclops and Emma Frost (who had been having a psychic affair behind Jean's back) and went to Genosha where he
met up with the real Magneto. The two resolved their differences once more and worked together to rebuild and restore order
to the decimated island nation.
Back at the mansion, the Danger
Room gained sentience, rechristened itself "Danger", assumed a humanoid form, and attacked
the X-Men before heading over to kill Xavier. Xavier was able to hold Danger off until the X-Men arrived. Soon after, Danger
fled, but not before revealing to Colossus that Xavier had known it had been sentient ever since he upgraded it. Colossus
was especially hurt, as he had been held captive and experimented on recently.
Ashamed, Xavier tried to explain
to them that by the time he realized what had happened he saw no other course, as teams needed to be prepared and Mutantkind
needed to be protected whatever the cost. The X-Men, disgusted with him, left.
And after the death of Psylocke, Archangel find new love in a persona of Paige Guthrie a.k.a. Husk. Meanwhile, after the battle with Apocalypse, Warren Worthington III a.k.a. Archangel was having signs for his secondary mutation and after their battle with impostor-Magneto,
he begun his remarkable changes. He has gain back his normal skin and falling off the metal wings and stronger-powerful feathered
wings was being replaced. Warren renamed himself as the Angel.
Not only Beast, Angel does have secondary mutation, also Bobby does. Bobby Drake mutated and made himself a pure solid
ice and he could not change back into his flesh appearance and this time he have learned that Jean Paul Baubier (Northstar) had a big crush on him. Then Shen Xorn returns to China
after trying to fit in with the team.
This is one of
the most harmonious experienced they had as a team, without Psylocke and without Colossus and Jean Grey. Xavier asked
to take a vacation. At this point, Rogue and Gambit
were still powerless after the Khan's battle and were staying in Island far from the X-Men.
They got married. And Genosha is somehow under reconstruction. The Havok’s team accompanied Xavier.
Before,
Professor X grouped the X-Men as the Blue Team and Gold Team. Recently, there are three teams of X-Men operating around the
world. One group is more concerned with improving human-mutant relations-is the X-treme X-Men (X.S.E.) which was led by Storm and Bishop.
While a second resides in the X-Men’s classic base called the Central X-Men, the Xavier Institute of Higher Learning, to train and educate new students and help them cope
with their powers. Cyclops and Emma Frost led the
second group.
The third team, depicted in
X-Men, has, for a time, been traveling the globe fighting for mutant causes, but recently has returned home. They called themselves
as the X-Squad led by Havok and Archangel.
Some members of the group now too have started teaching the multitude of newly arrived students, while others are still adjusting
to the recent changes in their lives and personal relationships.

New X-Men and New Hellions
This is also the time were
in the New X-Men were introduced; new teachers were Karma
(Xi’an Coy Manh) and Mirage (Daniel Moonstar). Also a new team organized by Emma Frost the New Hellions. But still there were
still the unnamed students when the school was reopened and they headed by Wolverine, Beast and Cyclops.
As a new semester begins at
the newly rebuilt Xavier Institute for Higher Learning, there are quite a few changes in store. Scott
Summers (Cyclops) and Emma Frost are now co-headmasters of the school, and they have a different idea of how the school
will be run. Students will all be trained to use their powers and be taught self-defense, on top of their regular school classes.
The new students, including Noriko Ashida and Josh Guthrie, are given a tour by the headmasters,
and Noriko begins to butt heads with Miss Frost. Nori also damages her gauntlets unknowingly, and while in the cafeteria with
David Alleyne, Sofia Mantega, Laurie Collins, and Josh Foley, her electricity powers begin to act up, causing a blackout.
The five of them set out to find the missing piece of Nori’s gauntlet, steal Scott’s keycard to get into the Danger
Room where the missing piece was lost during the tour. As they enter, Nori has to release her charge and accidentally causes
the Danger Room to activate a program, unleashing a pair of sentinels and a crowd of armed soldiers on the five mutant students.
Through luck and teamwork, they manage to beat the program and find Nori’s missing regulator knob. Unfortunately, everything
isn’t right, and David tells the others what he saw on the computer screen in Mr. Summers’ office. All the students
are being separated into different squads, and the five of them might not want to get too comfortable hanging out. They may
be getting broken up …
As the kids react to the news
that they may be split up soon, Julian arrives to spoil the moment by threatening to tell on them for being in the Danger
Room unsupervised. An argument ensues, but Sofia manages to get Julian to keep it a secret by working
Julian’s crush on her. The kids attempt to get Dani to explain what is going on, but she tells them she is too busy
at the moment. Nori meets her new roommate, Sooraya Qadir aka Dust, and they immediately
get into a disagreement over their beliefs on women’s rights and religion. Nori leaves, and is soon found by Cyclops,
who demands his keycard back, and warns her that the rules are in place for her safety. He admits that he was impressed by
the way they handled the Danger Room and decides not to punish her or the others, but tells her to get her gauntlets looked
over. She asks if she can’t just get rid of them, but Cyclops convinces her to give them another try, and after a brief
conversation, they head off in their own directions. Meanwhile, David isn’t pleased about the possible changes, and
decides that he will tell Dani the next day that he is leaving, though Josh isn’t convinced. The following day, Julian
meets up with Jay Guthrie and tells him that they both have Emma Frost as an advisor. Julian explains about code names, and
Jay says that Icarus would be his choice. The two arrive at the basketball court, where a three-on-three game soon begins:
David, Josh, and Sofia versus Julian, Cessily, and Santo. Iceman drops in to referee, and after an impressive show of powers
from both teams, Cessily scores the winning basket. After the game, the kids arrive too see Dani, and find out that she wanted
to see them too. After a small amount of convincing, the kids agree to trust Dani on it, and she shows them templates of training
uniforms, which they will be allowed to customize as they like. Monday’s Assembly arrives, and Cyclops explains that
all students will be put into training squads of six people. He introduces his squad, the Corsairs, and Emma introduces her
squad, the Hellions. Finally, Dani tells everyone about when she was a student and she was part of a team called the New Mutants.
They were a family, and her kids are like one too. She introduces Prodigy, Wind Dancer, Surge, Wallflower, and Elixir, as
her squad, the New Mutants!
The New X-Men members were:
Prodigy (David Alleyne) an American, have psychomimetic power lets him replicate the skills
and knowledge of others
Wind Dancer
(Sofia Mantega) an American, can manipulate wind to fly, create high-velocity air currents, and draw sounds to her from far
away
Wallflower (Laurie Collins) an American, she can release pheromones
from her skin that alter the behavior of people around her
Elixir (Josh
Foley) an American and former ally Donald Pierce from group the Reavers, manipulate and rearrange organic molecules in order
to heal himself and others, golden skin
Surge (Noriko Ashida) she is Japanese,
can siphon electricity from her environment and channel it into bursts of superhuman speed and electrostatic discharges, wears
stabilizer gauntlets that modulate her energies
Icarus (Joshua Jay Guthrie)
younger brother of Sam (Cannonball) and Paige (Husk), feathered wings allowing him to fly, regenerative factor in his blood,
voice can simulate a multitude of singers at once. He was originally in the line-up of Hellions.
The New Hellions members were:
Hellion (Julian Keller) - telekenesis (leader)
Mercury
(Cessily Kincaid) - solid humanoid mercury form and can turn into and move around as liquid mercury
Rockslide (Santo Vaccarro) - durable granite outer layer; uses body parts as reattachable projectiles
Tag (Brian Cruz) - places a psionic broadcast on a person that repels or
compels those around him toward or away from the signal
Dust (Sooraya Qadir)
- changes her entire body into sand which reacts to allow her to move around in blasts and then return the sand back into
her original form.
Wither (Kevin Ford) - rapidly deteriorates organic matter
with his body upon direct contact. Formerly a New Mutant, Wither switched to the Hellions team due to the persuasion of Emma
Frost, a dislike of Dani Moonstar, and a hatred for Elixir.
Specter (Dallas
Gibson) was part of the initial lineup (which didn't include Dust or Icarus), but wasn't in the final, formal team. He can
blend with his own shadow, which gives him darkness powers. He can't stay in shadow form for too long or he succumbs to his
own darkness. The shadow form is stronger during the day.
Choosing Sides
The newly minted Hellions
and New Mutants get into an argument outside, which quickly escalates into a fight. At the same time, Dani ridicules Emma
for the codenames and squad name choices she made, which would just feed Julian’s ego. Rahne gets aggressive when she
believes Emma is pressuring Dani into leaving, and Scott intervenes, telling Dani Moonstar
and Rahne Sinclair to learn to trust Emma. He then notices the kids fighting outside, and
puts an end to that as well. He tells them that they just volunteered to be the first teams to participate in the new Field
Day exercises. After the kids and Scott disband, Dani admits that she needs Emma’s help to find the final member of
her squad: Kevin Ford. In the garage, Josh and Rahne kiss, and soon they talk about Josh being a New Mutant, just like Rahne
was all those years ago. Due to a reminder that she is a teacher, and should act like one, Rahne decides that they should
break up, much to Josh’s dismay. Emma and Dani use Cerebra to track Kevin down, and eventually find him working in a
junkyard in Staten Island.
Dani tries to get him to come back to the school, but Kevin really doesn’t want to hear it from her. Emma decides to
give it a try, and manages to convince him to come back to Xavier’s, though Dani has some concerns that Kevin may have
been using his powers on animals. When they arrive back at the school, Kevin agrees to join Dani’s squad, mainly because
of Laurie. Laurie and Sofia are happy to have Kevin back, though there is some animosity between Kevin and Josh. Dani asks
Kevin for a suggestion for what his codename should be, and he decides on Wither. The leadership of the squad is the next
issue to be discussed, and though Dani chose David, he declines, and Sofia
takes the job. The first Field Day exercise arrives, and they are told that they must find an object somewhere in the grounds.
Sofia sends Nori to search the grounds with her super-speed,
while Cessily spies on the teachers and learns that it is located in the hedge maze. She is found out by the teachers, though,
and eliminated from the exercise. She has Jay back her up, though, and he returns to the rest of the Hellions with the information.
Right about then, Nori also arrives with the information, and they head off to the hedge maze. Unfortunately, they find Santo
blocking the way, and he tells them that the rest of the Hellions have already gotten into the maze, and the New Mutants lose…
As the Field Day exercise
continues, Sofia tries to fly over Santo, who is blocking
the way into the hedge maze. Julian blocks the way above with his telekinesis by putting up an invisible wall, and he and
Sofia end up in a battle of wills, distracting Sofia from
the task at hand. After a bit of urging, David comes up with a plan, but Brian uses his powers on him, making the others all
run away from him. Josh, Laurie, and Kevin make it to the other side of the hedge maze and proceed with the plan to use Kevin’s
power to wither a path through the hedge wall. David goes after Nori and helps her out as she used her entire charge to escape.
As Jay arrives to where the object is hidden, Kevin, Laurie, and Josh make it through the wall and see that there is a live
dragon at the center. Kevin decides to use his power on the dragon, but Josh stops him. Laurie tries to use her pheromones,
but before she has a chance, Jay uses his special singing voice to calm the dragon. After a quick conference over Brian’s
use of his powers, the Hellions are announced as the winners, and Josh goes off on Sofia
for her lack of strategy in leading them. Josh and Nori both suggest that David take over leadership, but David tells them
that he stands by Sofia. Later, Laurie finds Sofia crying in their room and decides to go have a talk with Josh about it.
Cessily finds Kevin working
on his industrial art and they talk for a while, and Cessily shows him that, because she is made of mercury, he can touch
her without hurting her. Unfortunately, that isn’t the touch he was looking for. Outside, Josh plays basketball with
Victor until he spots Rahne and tries to get her to go out with him again, but when she says no, he spots Laurie. She asks
if they can talk about the Sofia thing, and he agrees and
invites her to go out for dinner with him on a date, which makes both Rahne and Kevin jealous. Kevin joins Cessily to dinner
in the cafeteria, and after a quick talk, Julian agrees to let him sit with them. Nearby, Sofia
expresses her fears to David that the squad is angry with her, and he does his best to make her feel better, though to little
success. Dani is upset that Kevin doesn’t seem to be taking to the rest of her kids, and Emma takes the opportunity
to tell Dani that it is her fault. And just to make things perfect, Agent Justin Pierce arrives to arrest Kevin Ford for the
murder of his father…
FBI agent Justin Pierce asks
Kevin Ford to turn himself in for the death of his father. Though the agent is sympathetic, Emma Frost and Dani don’t
believe Kevin can get a fair deal and refuse. Later, Pierce meets Dani in the coffee shop and explains that they have to show
that mutants aren’t above the law. Dani considers his words and Noriko eavesdrops on their conversation. Later, she
and her teammates decide to smuggle Kevin off-campus. They are stopped by Pierce and Dani makes up an excuse for them. The
next day is hard for Kevin, as all students’ gossip about his accidentally killing his father and he further isolates
himself. Fed up with everybody’s behavior, Hellion holds a speech in the cafeteria, telling them they should be ashamed
of their behavior. Later, Dani calls Kevin, and explains she has decided he can best be helped if he turns himself in for
now, thus killing any trust the boy still had in her. After Kevin is taken into custody, the Hellions decide to spring him.
Only the newest member, Icarus, protests and leaves. Hellion asks Wind Dancer to come instead
and she agrees.
Icarus informs the New Mutants
about the Hellions’ plan to break out Kevin Ford and adds that Wind Dancer went with them. The team decides to fight
the Hellions and Elixir asks Wolfsbane to join them. When she refuses, he asks her to keep
quiet about this. The team confronts the Hellions outside the station in Salem
Center, moments before the Hellions can free Kevin. The two teams fight
and Prodigy confronts Wind Dancer about the leadership issue. They come to terms with it and Sofia rejoins her team. With the added muscle and David’s talent for strategy, they
win. In the meantime, Cyclops, Emma and Rahne have arrived, as Rahne did tell the others, while inside the station Dani is
distracting the agents. Cyclops takes them back to school commending the New Mutants for trying to stop the other team but
chiding them for taking things into their own hands instead of telling the X-Men. Two weeks later, charges are dismissed against
Kevin and he is allowed to return to school. However, after witnessing the battle, he feels the Hellions are his true friends
and wishes to be reassigned to their team. As a result, Icarus takes the empty spot on the New Mutants team. Surge makes some
tentative peace with her roommate, Dust, Prodigy and Wind Dancer decide to be co-leaders and, after Elixir confronts Wolfsbane
over betraying the New Mutants, they kiss.
Haunted
David’s younger sister,
Kim, arrives at Xavier’s to visit her brother. David first introduces Kim to the rest of his New Mutants squad, and
next gives her a tour around the school and its many classes. Kim is very impressed and a little jealous as well, because
she thinks that her school is boring compared to Xavier’s. Meanwhile, weird things are happening around the Institute.
It begins with Icarus. While preparing for gym, his picture of his lost love Julia starts to crack, and he didn’t even
touch it! He freaks out and sulks about it. Surge notices that and talks to him, but they only end up in an argument that
Jay once tried to kill himself because he thought he had lost everything. Noriko, upset hearing that, knows that isn’t
true, because Jay still has a family that loves him, and runs away to her room. There, she tries to contact her parents again
and phones them, but her father doesn’t believe that it’s really Noriko calling them and hangs up on her. Noriko
gets even more upset and stays in the room. After a while, Jay enters to apologize, and they both find Noriko’s room
trashed! But Nori didn’t trash it, and neither did her roommate. At the lab, Wither and Wall Flower find a beaker smashed,
and later a threatening message gets written on the blackboard, to “leave now.” Some time later, the New Mutants
begin their Danger Room session and Kim gets to watch. Some of the squad members’ panic, but David suspects that it’s
all just a prank of Julian’s. After a successful training session, Noriko doesn’t feel well after an overload
of her powers. Dani goes to check on her and Kim has to stay behind in the observation deck. A ghost appears next to her and,
after feeling that Kim is different; it warns Kim to get out of the place while she can and then disappears. Overjoyed, Kim
rushes to Dani and the New Mutants, telling them that she has just found out that she is a mutant!
Kim tries to convince everyone
that she really is a mutant able to talk to the dead. Nobody believes her and the New Mutants and Dani try to sort things
out. Before they are able, the ghost switches off the Danger Room’s safety protocols and activates a simulation of Magneto.
The group has the most difficulties in defeating him, but luckily Shan arrives just in time and switches the Danger Room off
again. The New Mutants get a check-up to make sure they are fine and go to dinner. Cyclops and Emma Frost promise the team
they’ll try to solve things. At dinner, Laurie is scared of the ghost, so Josh offers to take her to dinner off campus.
Laurie finds that to be a terrific idea and offers Josh to join her on her weekly dinner with her mom. Kevin approaches Laurie
to make sure she’s fine. Josh is offended by that and a fight almost breaks out between him and Kevin. But then, the
kids’ dinner table disappears and, all of a sudden, drops out of the air! Julian, who was also at the cafeteria, is
labeled primary suspect, though the young troublemaker claims to have nothing to do with it. Later, the New Mutants realize
that the ghost must be a former student who has died when Magneto destroyed the school. That would also explain the choice
of his simulation in the Danger Room. David uses the school computer to find data about all the students who didn’t
return to the school after it was rebuilt and a list of all current students. So Noriko suggests to go to the cemetery behind
the school and check headstones against names. Meanwhile, Kevin gets called to Emma Frost’s office and she wants him
to talk to a specialized therapist. Dani, Rahne and Shan gather and Dani realizes who the ghost is. Josh and Laurie leave
on their date. Later, the rest of the New Mutants go to the cemetery and find the ghost, who only tells them to “leave
now while you can” and then teleports all of them away!
After being teleported by
the ghost, the New Mutants materialize over the lake and fall down. Thanks to the help of combined teamwork and the unsuspected
aid of Julian, nobody gets hurt. Dani and Shan show up and explain to the kids that they have found out that they are dealing
with the spirit of Jeffrey Garret, a kid who died when Magneto attacked and destroyed the school. Josh and Laurie come back
from their date and kiss. Rahne sees that and she doesn’t want to ruin Laurie’s happiness, so she brakes up their
relationship for good this time. However, none of them notice being overheard by Kevin from up in his room. The next day,
Kevin pays a visit to the psychiatrist his advisor, Emma Frost, picked out for him, namely Dr. Sean Garrison. Later that night,
Sofia
asks Dani to close down the school cafeteria to hold a séance. Jay refuses to help, because he’s mad at the ghost because
he messed with the photo of his lost love, Julia. But the group gets the help from both Dani, who offers her old Valkyrie
powers, and Julian, who wants to clear his name. Together, they contact Jeffrey and convince him to stop haunting everyone.
Kim realizes that she’s not a mutant and feels sorry, but David cheers her up and is happy to know that Kim most likely
will never be the victim of hatred and prosecution. Noriko promises Jeffrey to help him when he needs it, and brings him to
Shan’s class of Institute’s lower school.
Following another mocking
from Julian, David believes that he’s useless if he can’t keep the knowledge he absorbs. After a session with
Emma Frost, he finds out that a mental block in his mind prevents him from keeping it. He wants it removed. After a discussion
with Dani, David decides to go for it. The plan works and, day after day, David absorbs everything he can: from science knowledge
to fighting skills. But his attitude too changes, and not in the good way. Meanwhile, Kevin holds another session with Dr.
Sean Garrison, who’s interested to learn more about Laurie after Kevin mentions what her powers are. Later, new Field
Day contests are held, and this year the New Mutants win! David also gets a trophy for all-around academic excellence. A few
hours later, David announces that the school has got nothing more to offer him and leaves. However, he promises to help Josh
find the full potential of his powers. Three months pass. In this time, David creates his very own Alleyne Enterprises and
gathers a press conference. Proudly, he announces to have found a cure for both cancer and AIDS! And he did that together
with Josh Foley, who agreed to serve as test object. But unfortunately, this caused Josh to… die!
Eighteen years later. Dani
gets summoned to David, who is now the president of the United States!
He informs her about his plan to bring world peace, and is close to reach it. But not all countries have joined America yet, and therefore David wants to destroy China, in the hope that the other countries will join his land peacefully. Dani
tries to fight back, but gets bound on a chair and killed by toxins. He regrets the decision, as he once loved Dani and would
have done everything for her if he ever showed some affection back. David’s wife, Noriko, sees it all happening and
runs away from him. She gathers the entire New Mutants team, and they plan a counter attack. Despite their many differences,
they make a truce with the Hellions and attack the White House. David has foreseen it all happening, and had a back-up plan.
He faked a threat in outer space the Hellions were responsible for, and sent the entire X-Men team to investigate it. They
did and, once on the crime scene, David blew it up, killing all the X-Men. Everyone fights back, but David kills most of the
Hellions and the New Mutants. Noriko is left, and she overloads her powers. Thereby killing herself, David and blowing up
the entire White House. Emma Frost and Dani stop the session, and hope that Dani has seen why he isn’t ready for his
mental block to be removed. David’s freaked out, but Dani and Emma make it clear that it was all just a mixture of telepathy,
and Dani used her fear powers on David to make him experience it all like it was very real. David agrees for the block not
to be removed, and wants to study and hope that his future achievements will all be earned. He walks out with Dani, and they
clear up their relationship and both agree that David’s affections towards her can never become reality. Later, Josh
is approached by Kevin. He threatens Josh to break up his relationship with Laurie, or else he’ll tell the entire school
about Josh’s former relationship with Wolfsbane, and they’ll both be expelled!
It’s another Field Day.
Wolfsbane’s Paragons Squad manages to fulfill their mission in perfect time and with minimum civilian casualties, and
are about to win. The New Mutants are the last ones to go. They prove to be better than the Paragons Squad, and manage to
defeat “the Hulk” in even less time. After the session, the team cheers about their victory. Kevin notices that
Jay and Laurie are still together, and decides to go on with his earlier threat. He visits Emma, and informs her about the
former relationship Josh and Rahne had. They aren’t happy about it, and contact Wolfsbane about it. She fears that she’s
going to get fired, and decides to leave the school, planning to work for Jamie Madrox fulltime. Laurie learns of it too,
and angrily breaks up her relationship with Josh. He even gets into an argument with David about it. Laurie goes to tell her
mom about it, but it goes wrong and Laurie angrily walks away from her mom. Meanwhile, Sofia and Jay go to learn swing dancing
together in the Hunter Dance Studio. At the school, David continues to avoid Noriko after the future session in his head.
Dani tries to cheer him up, but he doesn’t know how to deal with it yet. Later, Scott and Emma contact Dr. Sean Garrison
and offer him to become the Institute’s counselor. He’s interested, but can’t come this semester. Emma and
Scott send him some files about their students and, after seeing pictures of Laurie and her mom, Sean contacts the Headmasters
again, and tells them he can join them next school year. Once the phone is down, Sean smiles, and says that he’s got
big plans.
Last week, both the students
and the X-Men were ordered by SHIELD to stay in their mansion, because of the danger of a mind-controlled Wolverine. Wolverine
attacked the school, but the X-Men, SHIELD and some other heroes quickly reacted and went after him. Northstar was one of
the heroes that helped out, but he was no match for the feral mutant. Northstar and Wolverine fought, but Jean-Paul ended
up being killed by his claws! Josh desperately tried to heal the wounds, but with no such luck. Jean-Paul Beaubier (Northstar) is dead.
Today, Emma Frost and Cyclops
inform all of the students that there will be no classes for the entire week, and at the end a memorial service will take
place. At the same time, David still avoids Noriko, and Josh is being ignored by everyone unless they have to work together.
Sofia shares a few moments with Julian, and they talk about
his experiences with Jean-Paul when he used to be Julian’s advisor before Emma. However, Julian refuses to go to the
memorial, since it’s boring. The next day, Dani, Iceman and Polaris are called on a SHIELD plane. A doctor wants to
disconnect Northstar’s brain from his corpse, so the Hand won’t have a chance to resurrect him. However, they
are too late, as Hand ninjas, led by a resurrected Elektra, attack and kidnap Jean-Paul. This upsets Dani, who thinks she’s
now useless in a battlefield. Despite these events, the memorial continues, and some old friends of Jean-Paul pass by for
it. At the end of the service, the great Canadian hero is honored by a statue in his memory.

Northstar with the SHIELD Agents and Elektra |
SHIELD wanted Northstar to be decapitated, (the only way to prevent a resurrection), but the X-Men were against it; wanting
to contact Northstar's family first. Before anything could happen, Northstar's body was stolen by Elektra (another brainwashed
victim, though it would later be revealed she was faking it to infiltrate the cults) and the Hand. Later, a resurrected Northstar
led an attack with Elektra on the SHIELD Helicarrier, crippling SHIELD and putting Nick Fury in critical condition.
It’s time for the spring
dance at Xavier’s. While everyone of the faculty staff prepares things, Dani gives a call to federal agent Justin Pierce. They talk, and Dani invites him to the prom, which he accepts. Meanwhile, all the students
are talking about the dance. The New Mutants are still ignoring Josh, which upsets Noriko, who runs away from the team when
they start talking about it. Laurie is still angry at Josh and doesn’t want to go to the prom, and plans to skip it.
David doesn’t want to hear anything of that, and offers to Laurie that she goes with him, and she accepts. Kevin tries
to ask Laurie too, but is too late. Julian also tries to convince Sofia to go to the dance with him, but she ignores his attempts.
Jay tries to invite Dust, but she doesn’t feel good about the dance, so she puts the
offer down. Later, Noriko talks to Josh, and he informs her about the future David saw in which they were married, and explains
that’s why he ignores her. At the dance, Julian is present with the Stepford Cuckoos as his dates, but when he sees
Sofia, he ignores them and she agrees to one dance. During
the dance, they talk and Julian invites her to spend the summer with him in his house in California,
since his parents will be away for the season. Also at the dance, Justin and Dani have a nice talk. Laurie’s mother
has also shown up to help chaperone, and wanted to see her daughter again, since they have been fighting of late over her
powers and Josh. Shan wants to go find Rahne and convince her to come back, but Dani is still mad at her, and has already
made a few calls to help find a new mentor for the Alpha Squadron and the Paragons.
Magma has already answered
the call, and is present at the dance. However, when Amara (Magma) goes to talk to Josh about
the time when he used his powers to heal her, Laurie suspects that Josh is flirting with her and gets jealous. She uses her
powers on David and makes him kiss her. Josh notices and almost starts a fight, but when David realizes what he has done,
he runs away. Sofia and Laurie get into an argument about Laurie’s powers, but she doesn’t want to talk about
it since she gets enough grief about from her mother. Gail hears, and runs away, too. The next day, the X-Men get an invitation
from the Avengers for a meeting. They agree to come, and Cyclops and Emma give Dani the
permission to run the prize ceremony day for the winners of the Field Day. Later in the city, the citizens notice the X-Plane
soaring over. The Blob notices it too, and realizes that with the X-Men there, there aren’t any at the school. He threatens
a chauffeur to stop, and drive him to the Institute.
After giving the Hellions
their award for wining this year’s Field Day, the Xavier Institute is attacked by a rampaging Blob! Meanwhile, Shan
meets up with Rahne in District X’ Mutant Town, and asks her to consider to coming back to Xavier’s, since Shan can’t
handle so many squads. However, Rahne thinks she’s of more value to Madrox’ (Multiple
Man) X-Factor detective agency, which she is now a member of, since a lot of desperate people hire their services,
like today. They say goodbye, and Shan returns to the Institute alone. There, the New Mutants, the Hellions and the Stepford
Cuckoos combine their several powers to bring the Blob down. The plan eventually works, and the Blob is arrested and apprehended
by SHIELD. Recovering from the battle, Magma agrees to become part of the faculty staff next semester. Laurie makes up with
her mom, and Sofia and Julian spend some time together talking. Noriko confronts David about his dream sequence in which they
were married, and asks him to get over it, because it is driving her insane. Josh wants to talk things out with David, but
he doesn’t want to discuss it now. Josh wants to, since they are going to be in the same squad next semester, but David
tells Josh to look in front of himself. They take a look at everyone walking their separate ways, and David fears that the
New Mutants… are finished!
After Genosha had been recovered,
Charles Xavier thought that he could continue to help mutants and maintain balance
with humans and mutants by forming different X-Men offices around the globe. This time the Professor managed to use the new
Cerebra. It is a modified Cerebro.
They taught that Cassandra
Nova had disappeared, however this entity continues to roam in the new Cerebra. She almost killed Xavier but she failed.
The saga ends up with help of the X-Men.
Meanwhile, Sage took the final
step back into the darkness of the Hellfire Club. In their efforts to find her, the X-Men
were separated. Emma Frost and Rachel Grey Summers
followed the Hellfire trail from New York to Hong Kong.
In a surprising turn of events,
the X-Men discovered that Sebastian Shaw, Viper, Courtney Ross, Paul Hark (Red
Lotus) and Sage were working covertly inside the club to bring about a dramatic
change in the club's makeup. After overcoming their personal differences, Emma Frost and Rachel were able to put the
Hellfire Club's far eastern slave-trading business out of commission and overcome the attack of the psychic vampire Selene (Black Queen of the Hellfire Club) who had for so long sought to possess Rachel's power.
The remaining X-Men overcame various ambushes and nannite infections to track down Shaw and Sage to Paris. Sage manipulated the members of both the X-Men and the Hellfire Club
to bring about the death of cyborg Donald Pierce and the incapacitation of Sebastian
Shaw. It seemed that her plan all along was to use the X-Men to disable the Hong Kong slavery ring, install Bobby DaCosta
a.k.a. Sunspot as Lord Imperial of the Hellfire Club, and work to use him to accomplish
her own "noble" agenda for the club.
To this end, Sage withdrew herself from active membership in the X-Men and has gone rogue.
Stills shaken by Tessa's
departure, the X-Men have been alerted that their lost teammate Psylocke has returned
to life on the exact spot in Spain where
she was killed by Vargas many months ago. Psylocke claims to have no memory of the cause of her rebirth. Before the team could
determine any information in this regard they were called off to rescue Wolverine who was on an important mission in the Canadian
Rockies. Betsy return to the mansion and joined the Storm team.
In the mansion they find
reports that Colossus is really alive. Colossus' story
of suicide didn't end there, as they thought. An alien named Ord had learned from precognitive visions that, a few years down the road, his home, a place called Breakworld, would be destroyed by a mutant, most probably an X-Man. That's why
he traveled to Earth in order to stop this event before it could happen. Ord snatched Piotr Rasputin from the morgue and replaced
him with someone else's body, which was then cremated. While Shadowcat took these ashes to Russia, Ord revived Colossus with futuristic alien technology and kept him locked
up in a prison cell in his base, to run tests and experiments on him. Every few days would Piotr be gassed, only to wake up
strapped to some lab equipment.
Eventually,
he lost count of the time he spent there, no longer being able to tell whether his was living through this ordeal for weeks,
months or even years. Ord, however, found what he was looking for, as he discovered a way to adapt and modify the cure for
the Legacy Virus still in Colossus' system into a formula that would erase mutant powers. Working together with a sub-division
of SHIELD and a world famous geneticist, Ord offered this cure for mutant
powers to the public and a large number of mutants were willing to undergo that treatment in exchange for the chance at a
normal life. Naturally, this aroused the X-Men's suspicions and, when they checked out Ord's base, Shadowcat accidentally
found her way to the place where Colossus was held. The rest of the team were as shocked as she, when they became aware of
their believed-dead teammate. Ord's machinations uncovered, SHIELD severed their ties to him, though the damage is done and
some samples of the "mutant care" remain.
